Is Jesus who he said he is?
Who better equipped to compile and present the cumulative case to support Christ’s claims for who he is than a Cold Case detective and former atheist converted by the very evidence revealed in this book? Read more [...]
The ones I have.
If I had someone else’s talents, I would be them. Not me. Why would I want to be someone else?
I prefer to be who I am because it’s who I’m meant to be.
Mine is a unique design for a specific purpose.
And so is yours.
If that weren’t true, nothing would matter. My life would have no meaning, and neither would yours.
But we all know in our hearts that can’t be true. It’s intuitively illogical.
Some people say we’re caused by accident, chance, or luck and therefore Read more [...]
The strangest thing that ever happened to me was becoming a Christian.
It was impossible.
I would have laughed at anyone who said otherwise.
Before I was a Christian, I had it all figured out. I knew what I was doing! I was proud of my "open" mind and keen instincts for counterfeit philosophies and ideas.
I quickly brushed aside Christians who approached me time and time again with their naïve, childish beliefs — I was too smart for their fairy tales.
I thought it better to believe an unpleasant Read more [...]
We often sit within a moment of time, contemplate our lives, and conclude who we are and where we are going. Sometimes in a positive light, sometimes negative.
However no one can accurately make that assessment within any one moment, because we are more than what a snapshot of time can reveal. Each of us is bigger than a moment. Each of us is spread out over time. Every breath we take and everything we touch and see. Every smell. Every thought and feeling. Every memory. Every action.
Also, whenever Read more [...]
Why am I alive?
Why am I conscious, breathing, blinking, and writing?
And why do I care about anything?
Alligators and lizards care about survival, but humans are able to care about more than that.
But why, if there is no survival value in caring about anything but survival?
If we are at the apex of evolution per the materialists, how can the inefficiency of caring for anything outside of survival be explained?
Ruthlessly focusing on survival would be the true apex of evolutionary materialism.

I’m thankful this Christmas for all life has taught me, and look forward with excitement to all the more there is to learn!
Life is better now than ever for me. Time and aging hasn’t brought deterioration, but rather resurrection and rejuvenation! I’m getting younger as I age! My mind has the reasons it needs to believe, and my heart the spirit of hope – the Holy Spirit.
I have the worldview of hope and life because I’ve been risen from the dead -plucked from death while traveling Read more [...]
Jesus endured false accusations, beatings and the cross.
With grace. Without malice or anger. For his enemies. For me.
So here I am, saved by the suffering of Christ while I was still his enemy.
What now? What am I to do?
It’s an understatement to say my life has changed. Is changed.
The old me falls away in the ongoing process of sanctification described by Paul, but at what point in the process am I ready to do something?
If Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to reside in my heart the moment Read more [...]
No one likes to be falsely accused of anything. There isn’t any one of us who wouldn’t put up a vigorous defense against the smallest charge.
But what about the claim Christians believe in a fairy tale, in spite of the evidence against it? A claim I once held as true.
What’s your response to that accusation? What's your defense? Do you have an answer, or are you quiet? Do you hide away and say to yourself you know it’s true because Jesus is in your heart, and that’s enough evidence Read more [...]
This is important to me, that’s why I continue to come back.
The list of reasons why is long.
I believe those reasons are part of something bigger than they are by themselves: my purpose.
And my purpose is bigger than I am by myself, because it's not all about me.
Perhaps it’s not about me at all.
Yet I “know” when I’m on track with my purpose, because it imbues me with an unearthly meaning and joy.
It may not be about me, but it provides a satisfaction far beyond anything I do Read more [...]
