Fear is a form of death that tugs at men’s trousers to bring them down to its level.
Why let fear have its way? We have eternal life through Jesus Christ who defeated death! He shares that victory with us! His victory is OUR victory!
Think about it!
Jesus suffered and died on the cross for you and I! Not for him! He was already eternal! He did it for me. And for you!
Sobering thought isn’t it?
He came to teach, yes. He came to perform miracles to confirm his message, to give evidence that he was who he said he was, yes. But ultimately he came to fulfill the plan of God the Father to reconcile us to Him –that was his mission. His purpose. He made it no secret. Over and over he explained the purpose of his time here on earth.
The short life of Jesus Christ.
The birth of whom we celebrate today.
Was given to you and I.
To reconcile us with God.
And to give us freedom from fear.
Right now. Today. This moment and the next, going forward forever.
