We can rush thoughts, but not thoughtfulness.
An ice-storm of thoughts overruns our world. They entangle themselves in every nook and cranny of our lives. Numbing our minds and freezing our hearts.
The solution is in the warmth of thoughtfulness, consideration, and exposure to the sunshine clarity of logic. Then warmed and illuminated by the prism of the heart, which tests the moral truth, validity, and rightness of that logic.
Who could deny the importance of the human heart? Who would deny the importance of the human heart?
Those who deny the heart admire and worship machines with the same heart they now consider irrelevant. To them, Artificial Intelligence, temporarily dependent upon human slaves for its birth, maintenance, and survival, is our inevitable prodigy.
Because if we don’t have hearts, we are machines.
Is love a throwback? A primitive tool that has lost its “survival value” and, therefore, its usefulness?
Can we or should we now do away with gratitude, joy, and awe? Discard honor, integrity, and Truth? Justice, mercy, trust & faith? Goodness?
Grace?
Is the last legitimate use of the human heart worship at the cold-blooded reptilian altar of “survival value”?
Is thoughtfulness a thing of the past in light of evolution’s materialistic Brave New World?
Is the human heart irrelevant?
