No one can correctly deny the world is in our heads.
But also our heads are in the world.
Which came first?
The world in our heads makes the world “out there”.
Sure we are influenced by the world “out there”, but it is we, you and I collectively, who make the world.
You want to know who you are? Look at the world. It is the mirror of who you are. Of who we are.
Deny it if you like, and many do. They can’t face their own reflection therefore choose not to.
Together we make this world. We are responsible.
Together can we change it?
We have tried. And tried. And the more we try the more militant and ugly and dehumanizing we become. Just look at the 20th century.
So what can we do?
Realize we are the problem. We can’t solve our own problems because we are the problem.
What then? If we are fatally flawed and whatever we do merely fans the flames and adds fuel to the fire, is there no solution?
Not by us.
Now that’s a desperate thought! Where do we go? Where do we turn? We are quickly painting ourselves into a radioactive corner by the misuse of technology. What can we do?
Cry out to our Father.
Who points us to the open arms of Jesus.
