Time moves so quickly, doesn’t it?
Which brings up the question: how can we best make use of the time that we have?
By devoting our time whenever possible to the Creator of time who is beyond time: God Himself.
And isn’t that our purpose: to know God and make Him known? There is no greater or more fulfilling way to live because we were made for that purpose.
Jesus said the first and greatest commandment is to “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ Matthew 22:37
This commandment applies to each of us as individuals, but Jesus didn’t leave it there because he immediately added:
And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:39
Which means the first commandment is to be exercised in light of the second -in fellowship.
This is why we are encouraged to meet in fellowship -to help each other know God and make Him known.
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20
